Just down the road from the village of Bukeye in the Kayanza Province of Burundi lays one of the most progressive coffee projects in Burundi’s checkered coffee history. Built and operated by Ben and Kristy Carlson, the Heza washing station is the backbone of the Long Miles coffee project whose mission it is to highlight Burundi as one of the great coffee producing countries and to help the farmers surrounding the Heza washing station access a better market for their amazing coffees. We have partnered with Long Miles to bring you amazing Burundian coffee year after year.
