Suke Quto Farm was established by Tesfaye Bekele in 2005. His mission: develop a farm that produced environmentally friendly coffee in Sidamo. We have worked closely with Tesfaye since we met him in 2009. Through numerous experiments together we try to improve his organic coffee ever further.

Suke Quto Farm varieties include Kurume and Welicho – both ancient Ethiopian types. The washed coffees are first washed with spring water after which they are pulped in a 5-disk Brazilian pulper. The mucilage is removed by fermentation, which lasts 36-72 hours. The coffee is then dried on raised African beds for 9-13 days - naturals for 21-27 days.

We roast and ship orders on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Orders placed after 8am on Tuesdays and Thursdays will be roasted and shipped on the next roast day.  We provide $5.00 flat rate priority mail with USPS for all orders.
