This coffee was grown by members of the Barichu Co-operative Society and was processed at the famed Gatomboya Factory (wet mill) located in the Nyeri region of Central Kenya. Around 600 farmers contribute cherry to the Gatomboya Factory where the coffee is processed with fresh river water from the Gatomboya stream. Our importing partner cups through hundreds of samples to select the most complex, intense and floral lots for which they pay a premium over current auction prices to secure lots prior to auction. Comprised of the classic Kenyan varieties SL-28, SL-34 and K7 (Kenyan selection of French Mission Bourbon); this lot is a big classic Kenya with all of the intense sweet fruit characteristics and floral notes that has made it famous.
